SO,  YOU THINK YOU'RE STRONG ENOUGH TO FACE THE MOST TERRIFYING PUNISHMENT A MEMBER OF TEAM ROCKET CAN RECEIVE?

THE PREPARE YOURSELF TO ENTER THE BASE THAT MAKES EVEN THE STRONGEST ROCKETS QUIVER IN FEAR:

BASE #151556B,  ORANGE ISLANDS

AKA:  THE RESORT

Naturally,  I wouldn't dream of sending you to such an awful place alone...  so your guide will be none other than the only Agent to truly survive the Resort... Red Rocket Annie Masterson.  Your visit begins by flying over the island and landing on the helicopter pad...

As you can see from above,  the whole island is owned by the Team.  It can only be accessed by the helicopter landing pad or possibly by a plane with hover capabilities.  Once a chopper has landed,  the passengers follow the guarded path to the main building.  The building is surrounded by thick island growth,  and the yellow line denotes the charged electric fence designed to prevent escape.

Once one has reached the building,  it is time to enter the only level above ground, level one...

LEVEL ONE:

Anyone entering first passes through a small foyer designed to look like the reception counter of an abandoned visitor center.  Once the visitor has cleared security,  they are allowed access to the main corridor,  at the center of which is the elevator core.

ANNIE: Level One is undoubtedly the nicest,  with all facilities being designed for the staff and "doctors".  That pig Anthony Pike had his office and quarters up here,  as well as the staff kitchen,  lounge,  dormitories,  etc.  Personally,  I never  had much time up here unless someone was trying to pressure me,  though this is the floor where I met Severin for the first time and the floor where Michael Morgan endured the explosions that would destroy the place.

A trip down one level in the elevator leads to:

SUB LEVEL ONE:

The first of the prisoner containment levels,  this floor holds 36 cells,  which means 36 prisoners ideally.

ANNIE:  Sub Level One is where they put me when I was first brought here.  Not much to tell about this level,  though there is an interesting note about the chauvinistic attitude that prevails here:  Only female prisoners are on this floor.  Apparently,  males are far more dangerous and must be lower, but we all know better that that,  right?

All in all,  a tame prison level.  This floor contains the kitchens that churn out food for prison levels 1-3.  As you might suspect,  it's far less maintained than the staff one.

Another trip down in the elevator takes us to:

SUB LEVEL TWO

Now we start to get to some of the horrors of The Resort.  This level has 33 cells.

ANNIE:  Right.  The floor boasts male traitors to the Team,  and the inmate infirmary for sub levels 1-3.  If you'll note,  corridor B leads to a room called the "Interrogation & Research Center".  Simply put,  it's a torture chamber.  If you have information that the doctors want and you refuse to give it,  that's where you go for information... "extraction".  Also of note is the room to which Corridor C leads,  "Biological Weapons Testing Facility".  This is a room that many inmates remember in dark nightmares if they survive at all.  While prisoners of the Resort may be valuable,  many are not too valuable to save them from becoming guinea pigs for Giovanni's experiments.  I honestly pity these agents now,  even if I didn't at the time.

Follow the elevator down one more level to reach:

SUB LEVEL THREE

This level holds both male and female agents,  usually those who know too much to be allowed out. This level has 33 cells.

ANNIE:  Life at the Resort often included daily electroshock "therapy".  Usually,  orderlies came to your cell with electric prods that hurt like hell,  but if Pike was feeling particularly sadistic (as he usually was),  or if you had made the wrong person mad,  you were taken in chains to the chamber that held an electric chair.  There,  you were given shocks to your absolute limit, sometimes for hours on end, until you passed out or died.

This level is the end of the line for the elevator,  but walking down Corridor D will lead you to a security checkpoint by an electrified gate that opened to reveal a concrete stairwell that led down to:

SUB LEVEL FOUR

This is the lowest level of the Resort,  reserved for the most dangerous murderers and psychotics.  The floor has 25 regular cells.  Courage.

ANNIE:  This is the level where I spent over 25 years after being classified as psychotic.  Security was the tightest here.  The only access was through the stairwell,  and when one reached the bottom,  they had to be cleared to walk through the door to the corridor.  All the doors on this level were bullet proof,  bomb proof,  and fireproof.  Each cell corridor had a locked triple-bonded polycarbide armored door blocking access.  Due to the dangerous nature pf prisoners on Level 4,  the level had its own electroshock chamber (with a chair more powerful than the upstairs one)  and its own infirmary and genetics laboratory.  Like the biological weapons testing facility,  The genetics labs turned Rockets into Guinea pigs.

Also of note are the areas marked "solitary confinement".  let me explain solitary confinement at the Resort. You were alone in the room,  but it was much more than that.  The solitary confinement chambers had spikes in all the walls,  and if you so much as moved,  you were rewarded with one in you.  The "dungeon" area wasn't much better.  Like a Medieval dungeon,  inmates were often chained in place there and refused water and food for days,  sometimes even a week.

Another note:  You may have noticed the utility core that carries the pipes and conduits through the building.  On this level,  all water and sewage pipes run through your cells by the ceiling and are designed to drip out droplets of whatever sludge they have into the cells,  forcing the inmates on this level to live in a state of filth.

The cell with the red dot is the one I myself was trapped in for 25 years.  This level holds the most ghosts of any for me,  and my worst nightmare is dreaming that Cherish has wound up here.

THERE YOU HAVE IT...  THE RESORT.

WHILE IT MAY HAVE BEEN DESTROYED,

IT'S REPUTATION WILL LIVE ON FOREVER.
