It was a beautiful, sunny day. We were laying in
the sun on the grass. I was extremely happy. Pikachu was riding on his
skateboard, grinding trees as if they were rails. Togepi, as always, was
running up the hill then rolling down it. She thought that this was a game.
HopHill is what I think she calls it. Charizard was soaking up the rays
with us. The other Pokemon-besides Flapjack(Ash's Mew)-Were playing Football.
Flapjack had a club. Since Mews can't read in silence, whenever she got
the time to read, Flapjack would inform the others and they would crowd
together and read. Why did they read you ask? It was their job to know
anything and everything about the earth. Anyway, it was a grand day. I
was so happy. Everything was going to be okay. Until I remembered,
Togepi was a jinx. We would never make it through the day alive! Togepi
stopped what she was doing. She fell down and began munching on an
apple. I sighed in relief. Ash looked over the horizon and then at his watch.
He said, "I'm going to be late if I don't leave now. You guys I got to
go." Misty looked at him. "I have to go too. I have to be home by
12:00pm to help my sisters. It's 11:04," she said. Brock nodded and stood
up. "I've got to get to the gym. They said I've got a truck load of
challengers," he said. Ash looked at me. "Gary, could you and
the others look after Togepi?" "Sure," I said
sarcastically. "Good. We'll be going then," he said. Before I
could say anything, Ash, Brock, and Misty picked up their backpacks and
ran off. I was stuck looking after a jinx. Togepi finished her apple. She
walked over to Pikachu and started to watch him. Then SNAP!
The board broke, sending Pikachu tumbling down. He landed flat on his face.
Togepi thought this was funny. Pikachu looked at his skateboard and
said,"Aww man! This thing cost me 1 year of allowance!" "It's
just a skateboard. Get a grip!" snapped Charizard. Although I
didn't say anything, Charizard was right. We had more to worry about.
Especially Togepi. She was our biggest problem. And trust me. We had a lot of
problems.
